Work On Your Practice

Four questions, not four levels. Start with whichever one you’re actually asking — there’s no order, and you don’t work up a ladder. Every offering is short, practical, and made to serve your teaching, not add to your plate.

FOUNDATIONS

I need this to work. →

What your Canvas course needs to have, and the fixes for the things that go wrong most often — the gradebook, the exam-day traps, a homepage students can actually use. Not busywork: consistency is a kindness. When every course runs the same way, students spend their energy learning, not decoding six systems.

ENHANCE

I want this to work better. →

Practical workflow wins. Cleaner modules, assignments students don’t have to decode, and feedback that comes back faster without turning generic — reframe a lesson, refresh a Canvas page, boost tempo and engagement.

DEEPEN

I want to know if it’s working. →

Reflection and evidence of change. Reading your own quiz and assignment data, doing something real with student feedback, running the assessment → reteach cycle, and keeping a record of one change you made.

INNOVATE

I want to try something new. →

Genuinely advanced work, and leading colleagues. AI you can actually use in your subject, your course AI policy, the two assistants built for RJ, AI literacy & ethics, student-facing tools, and the tools worth being early on.

Every one of these ends with one small thing you keep — a rewritten assignment, a policy, a note on what changed. Never a submission.
