One MyRJ report gives you the class roster to attach to your SmartFind Express absence, a printed copy for your records, or a class list you can paste into Excel or Raider Randomizer. It starts from your class's Roster tab and takes about a minute.

Print or export the roster

Five steps, starting from your class page.

1 In MyRJ, open Classes in the top menu and click the class.

2 Click the Roster tab, then the Run Roster/Student Reports button.

3 Choose Manual Attendance Sheet - By Teacher And Section.

Your class's Roster tab. The report you want is partway down the list.

4 On the report form, make sure your name is under Teacher and the right class is under Section. Set Date to the day the sheet is for (for a sub, the day you're out; it prints at the top). Out for more than one class? Choose All under Section to get every class in one file. Click Generate Report.

5 Click View/Export and pick Pdf, Word or Excel. The file downloads.

The report form (School Level is also on the form). Generate first, then export.

Pdf	For a sub. Attach it to your absence in SmartFind Express (see below). One column of names, with Present, Absent, Tardy and Comment boxes for the sub to mark.
Word	To edit before you print. Add a note for the sub or anything else the sheet needs.
Excel	For a class list you can copy. Paste it into Raider Randomizer, a group list or a seating plan. Steps below.

OUT FOR A DAY? PUT THE ROSTER IN SMARTFIND EXPRESS

A sub is a colleague from another department and can't open your Canvas course, so the roster goes in with your absence.
1 Run the report with Date set to the day you're out (All sections if you're missing several classes) and export the Pdf.
2 When you create the absence in SmartFind Express, click Browse and attach it. You can attach up to 3 files, so it fits alongside your Red Day or White Day sub plan.
3 Already submitted the absence? Edit it and add the roster any time before the date.

It's a class list. Treat the download like any roster: keep it on your school laptop and delete the file when you no longer need it.

Put the class into Raider Randomizer

Use the Excel export. Do it once per class, then it's saved.

1 Open the Excel file. If Excel shows a yellow bar at the top, click Enable Editing.

2 Click the first student's name, then Shift-click the last one, and copy (Ctrl+C). Select only the names, not the whole sheet. The title, date and "Page -1 of 1" lines aren't students.

	A	B	C
1	Attendance Sheet: 9/16/2026	Regis Jesuit High School	Printed Date: …
2	Your class section	Your name
3	Student	Present	Absent …
4	Example, Ava (Avi) '28
5	Example, Ben (Ben) '28
6	…
23	Example, Cam (Cam) '28
24	Page -1 of 1

Select just the green block. Example names, not real students.

3 Open Raider Randomizer and paste into the names box. It rewrites Example, Ava (Avi) '28 as Avi Example, dropping the class year.

4 Pick how names show: preferred first name, legal first name, or exactly as pasted.

5 Save the class with a label like Period 3. Next time it's one click. Saved classes stay in that browser on that computer, so download a backup from the Randomizer if you switch machines.

Scanning paper quizzes too? Paste the same export into Raider Roster Hub. Export with Section set to All and it splits your classes for you. It numbers each student for ZipGrade, and the classes you save show up in Raider Randomizer and the Raider Pod Generator on the same computer. How it works →
